city's richmond district. the victims were held at gunpoint and there are no reports of injuries at this point but claudine wong is on the scene talking with investigators right now and she will have a live report in just a few minutes. a 19-year-old sun noma county -- sonoma county woman was last seen at a celebration in lake tahoe. tara moriarty is in lake tahoe to tell us who she is and the effort to find her. >> reporter: they are tracing alyssa burns' last movements and statements records. many of her friends including her older brother and father have headed to lake tahoe to pass this out. 19-year-old alyssa burns has not been seen since shortly before midnight according to her friends who were with her. she was in town for a three day music festival which attracts

thousands of people. she disappeared from the group around 11:30 and by phone she told her friends she was taking a shuttle back to the resort. she was spotted around midnight and a facebook page has been set up to find her after working as a hostess here at petaluma. she was studying to be a paramedic firefighter and she is 123 pounds, long hair died black and a fair complexion. if you have any information about her whereabouts, you are asked to call the police department in nevada. some are criticizing the police department for the handling of this case. the driver is a caused of hitting and killing two innocent people outside of a san francisco liquor store. it happened new year's morning and ktvu channel 2 morning news

has obtained this armature video on 21st street. 19-year-old david morales caused that deadly crash while fleeing from the police. he is described as a convicted felon and given member and he is facing several -- gang member and he is facing several charges including murder. the shelters are now allowed to close their doors to people who are violent or make threats outside their shelters. those rules approved and it was in response to a deadly stabbing at a shelter. in the past shelters were not allowed to ban homeless people who had aggressive behavior. and those in hawaii have authorized the use of the otto open. it is a mechanical device that

being retired after 20 years in office. they continue to search for suspects after the city's first homicide. the body of a 30-year-old man who was stabbed to death was found in the bay view district. they are still not clear what led up to that killing. they are hoping witnesses will come forward. police in oakland are hoping surveillance video from a recent bank robbery will help them find the bang robbers. two people suspected of robbing bank of the west near telegraph avenue on december 10th. a man robbed a bank and even though no weapon was seen he reportedly told the teller he had a gun but investigators believe the woman is believed to be an accomplice. day one of the nhl lock out and in just a few minutes, talks resume on getting pro hockey players back on the ice.

is getting off to a nice start on the san mateo heading to the peninsular. here is pam and dave. we have news coming in from daily city. a man stabbed his father several times in an apartment this morning at the crown colony apartments on imperial way. the material's injuries are not life-threatening. a reporter is there talking to the police and we will bring you the very latest as soon as we get it. and we are having breaking news from san francisco. joining us from the scene on more on what happened, claudine wong has more. >> reporter: we have video on what has been happening and on the 500 block, we can see police officers are out in front of this residence and you can see a light is on in that

unit on the first floor. officers are going up and down to process this scene. i want to direct your attention to the front of the building because i want to show you video we took with the last 20 minutes. there is a knife left and that's the first thing crime scene investigators took when they got here. they measured it took video of it and took it after putting it in a paper bag. they say an officer responded this morning to a home invasion and what they say is 5 black men all in their 20s robbed and took electronic devices. nobody was hurt, there were a group of adults inside that unit at the time when this happened and again at this point, what they are doing right now is going through the evidence and going through the

scene and trying to put the pieces together as they continue to search for the people responsible. residents out here are surprised by this, they are waking up this morning trying to figure out what is going on certainly shocked by this invasion. claudine wong, ktvu channel 2 morning news. later today, east palo alto will hold an emergency meeting to fix a failed levee. ktvu channel 2 morning news was there when heavy rains caused a creek to breach that levee. several homes were damaged and city managers signed a proclamation to ask sacramento for 2. $7 million. >> we found damage to the creek banks and at the historic university bridge. it requires immediate attention

to restore flood control for the rest of the rainy season. >> they say they are trying to deal with flood concerns and state officials are expected to be here at today's emergency meeting. well, there will not be extra security measures after three people were swept out to sea by sneaker waves. charles quaid of richmond drowned on the beach at national sea shore. four days earlier, a father and son died, a large wave swept them away while fishing. they have warning signs already out there but they have no immediate plans to add lifeguards or put out extra patrols. new details on what led up to a deadly shooting in a sacramento bar. the daughter of a victim, gabriel cordova said her father accidentally spilled a drink on montoya, the alleged gunman.

she claims her father apologized but he shot and killed cordova. another man who was a bartender was also killed. montoya is in custody. several students are headed back to sandy hook elementary school but it is another school which has been transformed to look like sandy hook. they are adding other things from the school to make the students feel more comfortable. >> the staff said it gives them an eye doesn'tty and a -- identity and comfort level. >> the students will spend the rest of the year at the new school. and the new town superintendent said it will be up to the community to decide what to do with the campus where a gunman killed 20 children and 6 adults
